“Die Lewe is Mooi” (Life is beautiful) is the motto of Delmas High School.
Established in the 1950s and located in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa, this public secondary school has over 630 learners and is an English and Afrikaans language school. There are two hostels on the premises and an extensive range of sports activities are provided.
The school strives to send disciplined, determined learners into the world and strongly believes that it serves the community in both word and deed.
The solar plant will be equipped with a critical load battery storage system, meaning that they can keep on teaching even during the routine power-cuts that are impacting education all over the country.
Buying solar cells in this project is supporting a school to go solar and save on energy costs so that the school can further invest in learners and educational resources and significantly reduce carbon emissions for 20 years.
